Muhammad Mumtaz Ali
Dr. Muhammad Mumtaz Ali, India started his career as an Assistant Professor in
International Islamic University, Malaysia in 1987. Currently he is a professor in
the Department of Usul al-Din and Comparative Religion, AbdulHamid AbuSulayman Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences. He taught history of modern Islamic thought and developed interest in several areas of it such as Developmental Studies, Modernization, Epistemological and Methodological Studies, Critical Thinking, Philosophy of Science and Modernity. He has produced several text books from Islamic perspective in the area of Islamization of Knowledge are considered as best seller books in the campus. In 2014 and 2016 he was awarded the National Book Awards for his books, Issues in Islamization of Human Knowledge: Civilization Building Discourse of Contemporary Muslim Thinkers and Islamization of Modern Science and its Philosophy: A Contemporary Civilizational Discourse respectively. Ali is currently serving as Chairman of the Committee for Postgraduate Studies in the Department of Usul al-Din and Comparative Religion. He has delivered a number of Keynote speeches and presented several research papers in national and international conferences in more than 20 countries.
